Get your child in on the act!

What's more fun than watching A Christmas Carol? Being in it! Every year, young people from A.C.T.'s Young Conservatory, our unique actor training program, get their start on the A.C.T. stage.

The Young Conservatory at A.C.T. is an internationally recognized professional theater training program for young people between the ages of 8 and 19. Young actors from throughout the Bay Area (and often other states) come to the Young Conservatory to develop their creative talent and to grow as young artists. We offer dynamic courses for the beginner exploring acting for the first time, as well as advanced-level study for young actors with previous experience. Classes are designed to develop imagination, concentration, character, professionalism, and technique, and to strengthen the student’s command of his/her body and voice. Our faculty are working theater professionals who are particularly skilled in working with young actors. In addition to a full complement of studio classes offered year round, the Young Conservatory is the casting source for young roles on the A.C.T. stage, where our students learn firsthand from working artists.
