In Lilies, Bishop Jean Bilodeau (Tim Hendrixson) is summoned to a Quebecois prison and forced to watch a dramatization of the tragic events that stemmed from the love affair between Count Vallier de Tilly (Clayton B. Hodges) and Simon Doucet (Stephen Strobel, chained), some forty years earlier.

In the play-within-the-play story of Lilies, A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts student Clayton B. Hodges portrays the young lover, Count Vallier de Tilly and A.C.T. core company actor Gregory Wallace portrays his mother, Countess Marie-Laure de Tilly.

Against a backdrop of small-town prejudice and religious fanaticism, Count Vallier de Tilly (Clayton B. Hodges) engages in an affair with Simon Doucet (Stephen Strobel).

Lilies is directed by the innovative Serge Denoncourt, cofounder and artistic director of Canada's Theatre de l'Opsis, celebrated for productions featuring dizzying uses of color, bold gestures, and daring uses of space.
