The commies are coming in the McCarthy-era Hollywood comedy Red Scare on Sunset. Bertram Barker (Ted Welch, on table) raises the manifesto high before Marta Towers (Christina Owens, left), R.G. Benson (Seton Brown, center), and Mitchell Drake (Kurt Uy, right).

Actress Pat Pilford (Jody Flader, center) hams it up, with the deftly-mustached Ralph Barnes (Seton Brown, left) and Jerry the Stagehand (Ted Welch, right) joining in.

You may never look at crumpets the same way again after Pat Pilford (Jody Flader, left) and Mary Dale (Nicholas Hongola, right) are done with them in Red Scare on Sunset, directed by Theatre Rhinoceros Artistic Director John Fisher.

Nicholas Hongola plays the outrageous Mary Dale, one of playwright Charles Busch's most gargantuan characters, in Red Scare on Sunset.
