A.C.T.’s newest school partnership is with Lowell High School, the oldest public high school west of the Mississippi. In a unique technical theater collaboration, A.C.T. Teaching Artist and celebrated costume designer Callie Floor mentors a lead student costume designer and a team of student costume assistants. Instead of designing and leading the process herself, Floor supports the student team on their creative and technical journey of costuming a cast of 60 Lowell students performing in the annual school musical.

In this small, K-8 school in the Excelsior neighborhood, A.C.T. provides a Drama elective class for middle school students. Teaching Artist Ely Sonny Orquiza integrates basic theater training, improv games and storytelling to introduce students to the dramatic arts and engage their imagination and creativity
