Join us May 16–19 for A.C.T.’s fourth annual New Strands Festival: where artists and audiences meet for the city’s most unique exploration of new theatrical work!
During this free event, you can curate your own creative journey through performance spaces in A.C.T.’s vibrant Strand Theater in the heart of Central Market.
Be among the first to hear staged readings of (nearly) finished plays from the country’s fiercest new writers. Learn tricks of the trade in exclusive master classes led by festival artists. Share a drink with artists and chat about their process. Dance to sick beats at a DJ happy hour—or all of the above!
As you forge new relationships with artists and audience members throughout this four-day festival, you will become a crucial part of bringing each new piece to life. Audience reaction and response provides critical feedback for theater-makers as they develop their work.
All New Strands Festival performances and events are free and open to the public, and reservations are strongly encouraged.
