How do I use my ticket exchange benefit?

Subscribers may exchange tickets into another performance of the same play with no fee by either:

• Calling the Box Office at 415.749.2228, or

• Visiting the Geary Box Office (405 Geary Street) or the Strand Box Office (1127 Market Street).

Exchange requests must be made at least 3 hours prior to your performance start time. If exchanging into a higher priced performance, subscribers are asked to pay the difference in ticket price. Seating is subject to availability.

What do I do if I misplace my ticket?

Please call the Box Office at 415.749.2228, or visit the Geary Box Office (405 Geary Street) or Strand Box Office (1127 Market) to request replacement tickets.


I just became a subscriber. When will I receive my season tickets?

When purchasing for a future season, tickets are mailed to subscribers in August.

When purchasing a subscription for the current season, Mail Delivery tickets will be mailed within 3–5 days of purchase. Will Call Delivery tickets will be held at Will Call.


Is there an additional charge to subscribe over the phone or on the website?

All subscription fees apply online, in-person or over the phone. There is a $12 per subscription seat handling fee on every subscription package. All tickets also include a $5 per ticket facility fee (this fee is built into the ticket price).


As a subscriber, can I purchase additional discounted tickets?

Yes! Subscriber discounts and other perks may be accessed by logging into your A.C.T. account (visit and click “My Account”) or by calling the Box Office at 415.749.2228.


Where can I find convenient and affordable parking?

Geary Theater parking is available at the Mason/O’Farrell Garage (located at the corner of Mason and O’Farrell) to all theatergoers at the rate of $15 for 5 hours of parking.

Strand Theater parking is available at the Trinity Parking Garage (located 33 Mission) to all theatergoers at the rate of $15 for 5 hours of parking.

A.C.T. Subscribers may preorder parking when purchasing their subscription.

How can I receive more in-depth information about A.C.T.'s productions?

Words on Plays
A.C.T.’s dramaturgical guide contains an entertaining and enriching collection of articles, plot notes, interviews and background information about each play.

Subscribers may add Words on Plays to their subscription for $10 per play (print) $5 per play (electronic). Issues may also be purchased online, in-person when visiting an A.C.T. Box Office, or in the theater lobby.

From lively Q&As with artists to pre-show wine tastings, InterACT events add a fun and informative flair to your theatergoing experience.

Subscribers enjoy special access to A.C.T.’s Conservatory and Costume Rentals:

• 50% off tickets to Conservatory productions.
