Course Descriptions

Improvisation

Improvisation is a valuable tool for freeing the imagination, gaining confidence in auditions, and deepening emotional connection. Class will also include imaginative and physical character creation. Class exercises focus on spontaneity, remaining present, and the power of positive choice. This course is a wonderful tool for developing courage and flexibility onstage.

Singing and Dancing

Basic singing and dancing skills are introduced, with focus on accommodating a variety of experience levels. Tools will be applied to a variety of music-theater genres.

Story Theater

Designed to combine all of the elements of the Junior Intensives into a culminating event, Story Theater is an opportunity for students to work in ensemble format in creating a story in performance, calling on the physical, vocal and creative tools of the actor. Friends and family will be invited to a casual presentation on the final day of this class.
