For every subscription show on A.C.T.'s mainstage, we are thrilled to offer the following audience engagement opportunities:

Words on Plays

Central to A.C.T.'s mission is the development of a lively and thought-provoking dialogue with our community. Words on Plays, A.C.T.'s in-depth performance guide series, is designed to enhance the theatergoing experience, offering the audience a variety of ways to learn about the plays, productions, and people who make theater happen on A.C.T.'s stages.

Each entertaining and informative issue of Words on Plays contains a synopsis, advance program notes, study questions, and additional background information about the historical and cultural context of the play. Order the latest issue of Words on Plays.

Bike to the Theater

Have your bicycle valet parked by the San Francisco Bike Coalition. Valet bike parking will be available one hour prior to curtain. Patrons are asked to bring their own locks. Patrons who bike to the theater receive a special discount on tickets ($35 Orchestra, $25 Mezzanine, and $10 Balcony), using code THEATERSFBC online or by phone. To learn more about the SFBC, visit www.sfbike.org.
 

Drinks + Drama Fridays

Drinks + Drama Fridays—an evening of drinks, pop-up, and low-priced tickets to the performance—taking place the first Friday preview performance of every production during the season. Admission ($15 advance purchase/$20 at the door) will include one drink voucher and an orchestra seat to see the show. Doors and bars will open two hours prior to the performance so patrons can gather before the show to enjoy specialty cocktails, mingle with friends, listen to music from, get involved with A.C.T.’s community partner organizations, and have a great night out after work!
 

KDFC Prologue

Before the curtain goes up, get insight into the artistic process at this fascinating preshow discussion with the artist and A.C.T. leadership, sponsored by KDFC Radio.
 

Theater on the Couch

Following the show, discuss the minds, motives, and behaviors of the characters with a member of the psychiatric team at San Francisco’s Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.
 

Audience Exchange

Learn firsthand what goes into the making of great theater. After the show, join us for a lively onstage chat with the actors, designers, and artists who develop the work onstage.
 

Pride Night

Join us before the show for drinks, pop-up food, music, and mingling with fellow theatergoers in the LGBTQ+ community. Then stick around after the show when the party really gets started, with specialty drinks, more music, desserts, special guests, photo ops, and more!
 

Wine Night

Before the show, raise a glass at this wine tasting event featuring a rotating selection of local wines.
 

PlayTime

Before a Saturday matinee performance, get hands-on with theater with the artists who make it happen at this interactive workshop.
