Please Help Support A.C.T. in Our Time of Need
These are unprecedented and unsettling times for everyone. Due to San Francisco city mandates and the rapidly changing circumstances around COVID-19, our theater has become dark and we have cancelled all programming through the end of our season. While it was heartbreaking to see our shows come to such an abrupt close, we know it was absolutely necessary for the safety and well-being of our patrons, staff, and artists. We look forward to gathering with you in our spaces--to share, laugh, and learn together again—when it is possible, and ask for your help now to ensure that reality for A.C.T.
What can you do?
As a non-profit organization, we operate within the narrowest of margins, and cancelled show runs and lost ticket revenue means that we are sustaining massive financial losses every week that our theater is closed. We recognize that there is still so much uncertainty for us all right now, but we hope that you believe in what A.C.T. brings to the community—in what the arts do for our society—and that you’ll consider making a tax-deductible gift of any size to the theater to help us weather this extraordinary storm.
Theater has long reminded us that even in the darkest of days, there is still light. When the world returns to a more normal place, we look forward to being your sanctuary—the place where you can come and gather with friends and family and share in the beauty and magic of live performance and one another’s company, together. The arts have always been resilient, but they’ve never survived alone, and we hope you’ll join with us in ensuring that they’ll still be standing when the world stops spinning madly.
