All classes take place in-person in our studio spaces at 30 Grant Ave.

All students ages 12+ must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. All students and faculty must be masked at all times while in the building. Please note that our COVID-19 safety policies are subject to change.

Summer Session Refund Policy

  • Cancelations must be made in writing and will be honored if received at least 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the start of the first class session. Class tuition will be refunded minus the non-refundable registration fee, plus a $75 processing fee. Please email your cancelation request to youngconservatory@act-sf.org.
  • Refunds of any kind will not be given after the above-stated deadline.
  • Please allow 10–14 working days for your refund to be processed.

Session 2: June 13–17

Session 3: June 20–July 1

Schedule: Monday-Friday, June 20–July 1: 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at 30 Grant Ave

Tuition: $825

Fall down the rabbit hole in this 2-week intensive exploring Wonderland! Students will use the stories by Lewis Carroll to create whimsical scenes and portray larger-than-life characters. Students of all levels of experience are welcome. Actors will explore:

  • Theatrical skills such as tableaux, gesture, vocal production, and movement
  • Improvisation and story theater
  • Character creation through key tools including objective, obstacle, actions, and physicality
  • Scene and monologue performance

Classes will be held in-person at our 30 Grant Ave Studios in San Francisco. Intensives include morning acting classes and an afternoon performance project. There will be some assignments and memorization in between classes. This intensive will culminate in a group showing to present material rehearsed in class. Have fun with peers while gaining some valuable theater skills!

 

Session 4: July 11–22

Schedule: Monday-Friday, July 11–22: 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at 30 Grant Ave

Tuition: $825

This magical intensive invites actors to create original scenes and monologues inspired by the characters and world of the Harry Potter series. Students of all levels of experience are welcome. Actors will explore:

  • Theatrical skills such as tableaux, gesture, vocal production, and movement
  • Improvisation, playwriting, and story creation
  • Character creation through key tools including objective, obstacle, actions, and physicality
  • Scene and monologue performance

Classes will be held in-person at our 30 Grant Ave Studios in San Francisco. Intensives include morning acting classes and an afternoon acting performance project. There will be some assignments and memorization in between classes. This intensive will culminate in a group showing to present material rehearsed in class. Have fun with peers while gaining some valuable musical theater skills!

Session 5: July 25–August 5

Schedule: Monday-Friday, July 25–August 5: 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at 30 Grant Ave

Tuition: $825

Become a superhero or supervillain in this 2-week acting intensive! Students will use the worlds of superheroes to create original characters and action-packed stories. Students of all levels of experience are welcome. Actors will explore:

  • Theatrical skills such as tableaux, gesture, vocal production, and movement
  • Improvisation, playwriting, and story creation
  • Character creation through key tools including objective, obstacle, actions, and physicality
  • Scene and monologue performance

Classes will be held in-person at our 30 Grant Ave Studios in San Francisco. Intensives include morning acting classes and an afternoon musical performance project. There will be some assignments and memorization in between classes. This intensive will culminate in a group showing to present material rehearsed in class. Have fun with peers while gaining some valuable musical theater skills!

Schedule: Monday-Friday, July 25–August 5: 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at 30 Grant Ave

Tuition: $850

Follow the yellow brick road into the Land of Oz in this musical theater intensive! Actors will dive into the iconic music and characters from The Wizard of Oz. Students of all levels of experience are welcome. Actors will explore:

  • Vocal technique such as breath control, articulation, rhythm, and vocal production
  • Movement and an introduction to choreography
  • Song and character interpretation and performance

Classes will be held in-person at our 30 Grant Ave Studios in San Francisco. Intensives include morning acting classes and an afternoon musical performance project. There will be some assignments and memorization in between classes. This intensive will culminate in a group showing to present projects, songs, and scenes rehearsed in class. Have fun with peers while gaining some valuable musical theater skills!
