Studio Rentals

Many of A.C.T.'s rehearsal studios, located at 30 Grant Avenue in San Francisco, are available for short-term rental. There are 15 rehearsal studios of various sizes, from large and spacious to cozy and intimate. The smallest studio is approximately 400 square feet; the largest is about 1,700 square feet. Some studios are equipped with dance barres and dance floors and some include pianos. The variety and availability of these studios make A.C.T.'s space ideal for any kind of rehearsal. (We are unfortunately unable to accommodate visual artists.) Prices vary depending on studio and length of use.

Hastings Studio is the largest of A.C.T.'s many rehearsal spaces. It is approximately 1,750 square feet, along with a full lighting grid and control booth. It is also wired for sound. There are several tiered seating platforms that can be arranged in a variety of ways. Hastings is the perfect black box theater and is used primarily for performances.

Stein Studio is a spacious studio located on the sixth floor. With approximately 850 square feet and a full wall of windows, this is a large brightly lit room. It also has a piano, which makes it perfect for singing, acting, coaching, or rehearsing.

7A is a spacious studio located on the seventh floor. With approximately 850 square feet and a full wall of windows, this brightly lit room is carpeted and has its own chalkboard. It also has a piano, which makes it perfect for singing, acting, coaching, or rehearsing.

The Patrick F. Flannery Studio (8A) is a large studio with approximately 800 square feet of rehearsal space. It has beautiful hardwood floors, a full wall of floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and a wall of windows overlooking Grant Avenue. This studio is bright and spacious, making it a wonderful rehearsal space for dance, theater, or anything else.

The Douglas A. Russell Studio (8B) has a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows with balcony access, providing a lovely view of Grant Avenue. Eight B is approximately 700 square feet, and has a chalkboard, making it ideal for working rehearsals.

8C has a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows with balcony access, providing a lovely view of Grant Ave. Angled floor-to-ceiling windows also provide a charming view of Geary Street. 8C is approximately 850 square feet, making it ideal for working rehearsals.

8D/E is a large, fully carpeted studio with roughly 1250 square feet of rehearsal space. Angled floor-to-ceiling windows provide a charming view of Geary Street. Complete with dance barre and chalkboard, this spacious studio can be used for anything.

8G is a large studio, with approximately 1,200 square feet. It is a fully equipped dance studio with dance barres, a dance floor, and one wall of floor-to-ceiling mirrors. It also has a piano, making it an ideal choice for dance classes and rehearsals, musical theater rehearsals, and acting sessions.

The Albert J. Moorman Studio (9A) is approximately 900 square feet and, like 8G, is fully equipped for dance rehearsals. A full wall of floor-to-ceiling mirrors, a piano, a dance floor, and dance barres make this studio perfect for any type of rehearsal. This studio also has balcony access, providing a gorgeous view of the city.

9B is an intimate, fully carpeted studio, complete with chalkboard. It is about 400 square feet, perfect for small, personal rehearsals or private training. This studio also has balcony access, providing a gorgeous view of the city.
