Bold Access Initiative
A.C.T. is your theater. We want to ensure everyone is able to participate and we are committed to Bold Access to all of our programs. We offer services to support a range of mobility, hearing, and sensory needs and comfort levels throughout our more than 2,000 performances and classes each year. We are committed to play our part in removing the financial barrier to participation for youth and adults as theater has transformative impact at all ages. Through our Bold Access Initiative, since 2022, we have offered more than 105,000 free and heavily subsidized tickets to our productions with more than 40,000 offered free of charge. We also provide scholarships to our training programs.
- $25 tickets are available for all shows on a first come/first served basis. To see if these are available, please check the legend on our seating map.
- An allotment of free tickets to all productions are available to our Community Partners in our Community Partners Program. To learn more about how to become a community partner, email education@act-sf.org.
- Two hours before each performance, up to 20 rush tickets at the Toni Rembe Theater and up to 10 rush tickets at the Strand Theater are available for only $15. Tickets must be purchased in person at the box office, and are limited to one per person, best available seating in most sections at time of purchase (some restrictions apply). Once our allotment of $15 rush tickets runs out for a performance, patrons are welcome to take advantage of our regular rush prices (50% off the current full ticket price)
- A.C.T. Conservatory scholarships create access to A.C.T.’s theater classes and training opportunities for those who have historically been unable to engage with these programs due to financial circumstances such as limited access to funds or extraordinary expenses. We recommend that you reach out to our ticketing office directly to get the most up to date information on available seating and the best options for your needs. Call 415.749.2228 or email tickets@act-sf.org.
- There are modifiable seats at each of our venues, allowing us to remove certain seats to make room for wheelchairs, smaller scooters, or upright chairs to be placed for those who need them. Be sure to share your needs either with the ticketing agent or as a note within your online order.
- Booster seats are available on each level to anyone who might need a little extra height in their seat.
- If you have sensitivity to sound, be sure to use the access guide to understand where our speakers are and to choose an appropriate seat for your needs
